I entered the professional art field at the tender age of 17 when I opened my first business 'Air Wear Apparel', a small seasonal airbrushing shop in Wisconsin Dells, WI. In between the summer months I interned with several outstanding commercial artists, including Todd Miska of Miska Design in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Over the next several years I continued to develop my skills artistically, as well as an understanding of business operation, management, and customer service.

In 2006 I joined up with Firecracker Studios, an amazing gallery, print shop, and artist's studio in Madison Wisconsin. At Firecracker, I was mentored by two artists: Sam Johnson (a talented screen-printer and graphic designer) and Dave Mueller (a classically trained oil painter).

At the age of 28 I decided to make a transition from commerical art to the far less physically demanding field of Graphic Design. I enrolled at MATC, where I learned the ins-and-outs of graphic design, web design, and animation from some of the best instructors in Wisconsin.

In addition to the traditional graphic design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator,
InDesign, and QuarkXPress), I also have experience with DreamWeaver, Flash, After Effects, Sound Booth, Acid, and Soundforge. I also have experience with screen-printing, ink, acryllic and oil techniques, and airbrushing.

I sincerely love the world of graphic design, and look forward to making a name for myself in the field.

Aside from the world of art and design, I live with my amazing 13 year-old son Sidney in Madison Wisconsin, a lovely if frigid city. I spend most of my free time watching bad t.v. (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Hell's Kitchen UK), making passable sushi, and sleeping.
